|To help ensure an extended quality of life for our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination for all species. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Anesthesia: Using the safest anesthesia protocols, we tailor your pet's anesthesia based on age, medical history and species of pet. All patients vitals are monitored by a trained staff member and monitoring equipment.
Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available by appointment. Current vaccinations are required.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Please call to make your pet's reservation.
Consultants (Internal medicine/ surgical): We offer referrals to help with complicated medical and surgical cases to ensure your pet receives optimal care. Commonly used referrral practices are: Upstate Veterinary Specialists, Carolina Veterinary Specialists (Ophthalmology and Avian), Southeast Veterinary Dermatology & Ear Clinic, and South Carolina Veterinary Specialists.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as preanesthetic and diagnostic ECG consultations with cardiology specialists.

Flea & Tick Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and ticks in your house, in your yard and on your pet.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Nutrition Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your small animal or exotic pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification using the resQ Pet Tracking SystemTM.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. Shertech Pharmacy creates easy to administer oral and topical medications to ease medicating un-cooperative pets. We also carry a full line of Hills and Iams prescription diets.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures for small and exotic animals.
